“Everyone was in panic. In the middle was myself and did not want to die”
The model Lara Stone speaks in our series, “I have a dream” about her fear of flying.

I’ve never dreamed of becoming a model. As a child I was bullied and insulted as ugly. But then, when I was 13, my agent in a model of the Paris Metro has responded. The modeling was my job – and I began to dream of what could be possible.

When I was the first time for a job in New York, I saw Natalia Vodianova on an oversized billboard in Times Square on a Calvin Klein billboard. She radiated a great power and looked so sexy. I wanted too! Meanwhile, this dream has come true: now you see me on exactly this oversized billboard.

When you realize that just a dream has become reality, it feels as if you were back in a dream. It is a very rare and wonderful feeling.

LARA STONE
27, arrived in the Dutch Geldrup to the world. When she was 16, she was taken by the Paris Elite Models Agency under contract. Today, they – like Kate Moss, Heidi Klum and Gisele Bündchen – represented by IMG Models. She currently represents Calvin Klein, in particular the new Calvin Klein underwear series Naked Glamour. Since 2010 Lara Stone is married to British comedian David Walliams.
