Top model Iekeliene Stange has been transformed into an…. Pure Poison! That’s at least what imaginary  photographer Patrizio di RENZO titled the editorial, for the latest Majo Fruithof lookbook and jewelry line.

Iekeliene Stange’s Dutch Pancakes With Gouda and Syrup

These are what my friends know me for—my Dutch pancakes with cheese and syrup. I used to eat these with my family. Now I throw pancake parties where I make them for my friends, and we have fun dress-up themes.

2 1/4 cups wheat flour
4 1/4 cups milk
4 medium eggs
1 tablespoon oil or butter
Gouda cheese, grated, for topping
Dutch stroop or maple syrup, for topping

Heat large frying pan over high heat. Mix all pancake ingredients together in a blender or whisk in a large bowl until the batter is smooth and not lumpy. When the frying pan is very hot, add butter or oil and approximately 3 tablespoons of batter. Flip the pancake when the upper surface is dry, and cook for approximately the same amount of time on the opposite side. Remove pancake and repeat until all batter is used.

Place Gouda cheese on half of each pancake, fold, and let the cheese melt. Finish by covering in the syrup, and enjoy!

Vogue Paris’s most recent issue brought us Terry Richardon’s pinup-laden 2009 calendar, and as rumored, come February we will indeed be seeing a whole lotta Lara Stone — 100-plus pages worth.

A couple of weeks ago at the Vogue Paris calendar launch party, Carine Roitfeld spilled all kinds of details about what we have to look forward to: “February is an entire issue with Lara Stone and the cover line is Et Vogue Créa Lara.”  The influence is Roger Vadim’s 1956 Brigitte Bardot classic Et Dieu . . . créa la femme — Lara has often garned Bardot comparisons — and will include shoots by Inez van Lamsweerde, Peter Lindbergh, Hedi Slimane, Nan Goldin, and Steven Klein.

Granted, Lara is known to be one of Carine’s favorite models, but fans are just happy to hear Lara speak, so why an entire issue?  “Lara had almost stopped working so I decided I wanted to make her a star,” the VP editor explained.

So yes, Lara Stone will have an entire issue of French Vogue just for her.

But unlike Kate Moss’ “guest edit” stint from ‘06, she won’t have any creative control over the magazine - no styling, no writing, just 100+ pages of Lara rocking out.

When we asked someone at French Vogue why, she just said, “Have you ever met Lara Stone? If you met her, you would know. She’s an amazing person.”

Well okay, then.

We’re not gonna argue with the shooting star of a girl whose hips and breasts are - dare we say it - normal, and if she’s cool as hell?

Even better.

Lara, good luck on your journey.

We’re all in love with Dutch model extraordinaire Iekeliene Stange, not only for her killer looks, but for her sartorial sass and photography prowess, as well. Deep in the Okavango Delta of Botswana, photographer Peter Beard directed Mariacarla Boscono and Malgosia Bela to “show me fun” as they mucked through an algae-covered swamp in May.  “Does it feel nice?” he asked Malgosia, who was submerged up to her waist in the goo. “It’s nice,” she replied, bringing her green hands up to her face.

The finished product — the 2009 Pirelli calendar — debuted yesterday, and you can see the whole thing here (NSFW), but it didn’t come without the model cast (Rianne Ten Haken, Isabeli Fontana, Kemp Muhl, Daria Werbowy, Lara Stone, and Emanuela de Paula in addition to Mariacarla and Malgosia) going out on a limb — literally: one shot features a number of them posing nude way up in a bare tree.  And they weren’t always so comfortable — a big bug was placed on Isabeli’s face, and though Peter directs, “Eyes open!  Eyes open!” she visibly flinches, “I can’t.”
